- Cloisonne pins are just great for that unique look of bold quality and unsurpassed workmanship. Cloisonne pins make your design come to life with exquisite detail. After being struck from a copper/bronze material, a die imprint is made from the artwork supplied to us. A further mold is created for the outline of the design and the shape of the pin is cut out. Color is added by pouring a powdered glass material into the recesses created by the mold, each color is then fired in a kiln at very high temperatures. This process is repeated for each color to ensure fantastic color separation. The "final touch" involves plating the pin with gold or silver and then polishing to create a beautiful finished pin. All pins are thoroughly inspected and packaged individually prior to shipping.
